The transfer case is actuated by a servomotor equipped with a worm gear, whose role is to transmit engine torque to the front and rear axles. In BMW E60, E61, E90, E91, E92, and other 4x4 models of the Bavarian brand, problems with the worm gears usually appear after 7 years of operation or after 130-150,000 km. So, what are the symptoms of a servomotor failure? Modern German cars have the advantage of not being "silent" in case of a malfunction. They immediately report all detected faults. Thus, a servomotor failure can be signaled in several ways simultaneously: 1. several flashing lights: These are usually the ABS, DSC, brake, and 4x4 warning lights. 2. incorrect operation of the front axle; either the torque transfer is not activated, or it takes a long time to deactivate; as a result, your car has difficulty driving on uneven terrain. 3. Noise from outside and engine torque surges during dynamic acceleration. Noise, crackling, vibrations, or even jerking are all symptoms of a defective actuator. If you are slow to react after seeing such signals, the drive may be seriously damaged. Indeed, your car will tend to "compensate" for the servomotor malfunction by transferring even more engine torque to the front axle, risking further damage.

According to Article 55, para. (1), the consumer has the right within 14 days from the date of receipt to return the goods to the seller. The goods must be unused, in good commercial condition and with the original packaging.
